Port Douglas Segway Tour Information

Tours start with an introduction to segway riding and practice in a safe spot, before heading to Four Mile Beach.

The segway trip along Four Mile Beach and back is approximately 12 kms and takes between 1.5 to 2 hours including the training session.

The tour group is intimate with maximum 5 people per tour. If you have a bigger group, please contact us directly to organise a private tour.

The Segway Tour includes your own Segway and Safety Equipment. 

They offer a 20 to 30 minute safety and training session facilitated by our friendly, informal and experienced tour guides.

You will be guided through all there is to know about riding your Segway safely and how to get the most out of your experience. The Segway training area is set up to help you navigate and learn in a safe controlled environment before departing for your guided Eco friendly Segway adventure.

Dress comfortably with no loose clothing. It helps to have wind resistant clothing during our cooler winter months.

Sunscreen is highly recommended.

Wear Comfortable closed toe shoes for e.g. trainers or boots. (No high heels, sandals or flip flops) Any participant who does not arrive in the correct footwear will not be able to participate in the tour and will be subsequent to a cancellation fee.

It is recommended to bring a water bottle to keep hydrated. Each Segway has a small handlebar storage bag for water, cameras, light jackets and purses.

Backpacks or bulky bags will not fit in the handlebar bags. Please leave bulky backpacks at home. We have the ability to lock away your items but are not responsible for any losses.

We have a supply of rain ponchos if there is a chance of inclement weather.

Port Douglas Segway Tours is a locally operated business by Anthony and his family. The rainforest and coastal beaches of Australia have always been an adventure playground for them.

Anthony wanted to offer a different type of adventure combining all the different aspects to Port Douglas including Four Mile beach. So he came up with the idea to run an Eco friendly Segway tour.

Port Douglas and the surrounding area has a rich history and culture. He loves sharing the indigenous element that this area reflects. It is also known for its serenity and is one of the last places in Australia where the Great Barrier Reef meets the oldest rainforest on the planet, The World Heritage Dantree National Park.

The dedicated & passionate Segway team are very experienced with lots of local knowledge.

They work closely with the Queensland Government, Marine Parks and Wildlife service, The Douglas Shire Council and Segway Queensland to ensure safety, quality and high standards are upheld.
